🚀🏌️♂️ Golf on the Moon? Since today is #GolfDay, we thought a fun fact about a golf shot that was out of this world! On February 6, 1971, astronaut Alan Shepard was swinging a modified 6-iron on the moon's surface. 🌕 With a club head snuck into his suit and balls hidden in a sock, Shepard became the first and only person to play golf in outer space. He did so during the Apollo 14 mission. How did he do? His first shot? A shank into a crater. His second? He joked it went “miles and miles and miles.” Modern analysis later revealed it went about 40 yards, still impressive in a bulky space suit, one-handed, in lunar gravity. Did you know that if your golf clubs are stolen out of your vehicle, it's actually your home insurance that covers the cost of replacing them? Some insurance companies will even offer a 14-day rental of golf clubs if yours are stolen (without impacting your claims status).
